New Year, New Notebooks!!

My first blog post in over two months. Yes, I am ashamed, but there is no need to dwell on it. I have more free time this year so aim to spend some more quality time with this blog  🙂 Warning, this post is just going to be me nerding out over some cute stationery. Cringe factor = 100.

Now while most people usually spend the new year getting drunk and partying until the early hours of the morning, I pass out just after midnight and wake up the next day, excited about starting my new diary, getting new notebooks and getting my life together. Yes. I am lame and organised but it’s my guilty pleasure.

Now rather than this whole ‘New Year, new me’ that everyone blabs on about for the first few days of the new year, I’m just going to show all you lovely people some super pretty stationery that might just help you get organised in the coming year. Let’s face it, who doesn’t need to get more organised, right?

First thing’s first, a diary. I know so many people who buy a diary on a whim, use it for one week and then forget about it for the rest of the year. The trick is to get a diary that suits your lifestyle. When I first got into using a diary I chose a wire-bound one so that it could stay open on my desk. When it’s sitting right in front of you, it’s pretty difficult to ignore. However, this yer I didn’t have to buy my own diary!! My housemate and good friend got me this cute little organiser:

Minimalistic and beautiful. It even has a pen holder. The pages are also super efficient. As someone who likes to plan out my daily activities, this diary is the one. With reminders and days on one side and a small table on the other, this diary is the epitome of organisation. Seeing as it was a Christmas present I’m not entirely sure where it was from but I have a feeling she said it was from either Amazon or Etsy!

One of my new year’s resolutions was to start writing creatively. Poetry, stories, you get my drift. I therefore had an excuse to buy a new notebook. Behold, this beauty:

The colours are lush and it’s just smaller than A4 giving me enough space to let my creativity shine! I snagged it from Paperchase for a reasonable £8.

Another of my new year’s resolutions was to take control of my spending. Rather than just using a boring old notebook, Paperchase have kindly supplied a money-keeping book:

I’m not a massive fan of the design but I love the layout of the pages. There are hundreds of weekly expenses pages and even a little pocket to keep all receipts in.

As an avid fan and collector of notebooks, there was this little one that I just could not resist:

At a tiny A6 size, it’s my tiny pocket book of ideas and notes that stays with me. Only £2 in Tesco, I could not refuse!

I think it’s safe to say, I’m going to be starting the new year organised af.
