The One Thing You Need to Hydrate Dry Skin

T’was yesterday evening when I decided to start my weekly pampering ritual. Only this week was very different… Very different indeed. For little did I know that I was about to use a new product that would change my world forever…

Enough of the fairytale rubbish, let’s get to it!

I am renowned for having skin as dry as the Sahara desert. No matter how much moisturiser I apply or how many litres of water I drink, I always have flakiness all over my face. Name a product, and I have probably already tried it.

Being so in love with the hydrating Garnier collection lately, I decided to invest in one of their tissue masks that seem to be saturating the beauty market right now. (Get it? Saturating… My comedy is wasted on you all!)

Having already bought shares in the global sales of the complete rose water range, I went for the chamomile mask, assuming it was the closest in to the rose range.

I was a little dubious at first. One of my housemates at university had previously tried one of the tissue masks and didn’t rate it. However, as soon as I opened the packet, I was surprised at just how much product was on the mask and in the pouch! It was soaked in serum. So far. So good.

Unlike other masks, this one doesn’t require you to wet your face beforehand – hallelujah for the lazy people out there! It does however, say to thoroughly cleanse your face before applying the mask. I had a shower before using this so my face was squeaky clean.

Once you get past how slippery the mask is, it is quite easy to put on; with clear spaces for the eyes, nose and mouth. A word of warning, this is not attractive. No, you cannot do a cute instagram post being like ‘spa day’. The tissue mask does make you look a little bit like a serial killer… The things we do for beauty, hey?

This shit is not for your insta!

After leaving it on for 15 minutes, my skin felt AMAZING. They say that you can remove the leftover serum from your face with cotton wool, but I rubbed it into my face – there was no way that I was letting any of that moisture go to waste!

My skin was SO hydrated and soft. I don’t quite know what I was expecting, but the results really were fantastic. My skin still feels great 24 hours later, even after applying makeup.

Verdict? This is a dry skin savour. Definitely get your hands on it if you can.
